Venice 2011

Visit to Venice with Mum, Monday 4th April 2011 to Thursday 7th. We travelled there and back by sleeper train from Paris, arriving on Monday morning and leaving on Thursday evening.

Ponte degli Scalzi
The Ponte degli Scalzi (Scalzi Bridge) crosses the Grand Canal just by the railway station.

We walked from our hotel (Locanda di Orsaria) near the railway station through the city.

We took the vaporetto down the Grand Canal to San Marco, then walked circuitously from there to Zattere.

We returned by vaporetto to Cà Rezzonico, which we enjoyed visiting, then walked through back streets to the Ponte degli Scalzi.

Our final excursion was in Cannaregio district, where we walked along the Canale di Cannaregio to the Ponte dei Tre Archi.
