Japan 2017

I went on a short holiday with colleagues in Japan from Friday 29th September 2017 to Wednesday 4th October, after attending the CFMIP meeting in Tokyo.

Tokyo, Friday 29th Paulo and I went sightseeing in the city for the day, before meeting Angie and Rob for the train to Kyoto.

Matsumoto, Sunday 1st Paulo, Angie, Rob, Mark and I travelled from Kyoto to Matsumoto, whence Mark returned to Tokyo and the rest of us continued to Norikura.

Mount Norikura, Monday 2nd We walked most of the way up Mount Norikura, the third highest volcano in Japan, to see the countryside and especially the autumn colours. We didn't go to the top because the weather was poor.

Kamikochi, Tuesday 3rd We went on a day-trip to Kamikochi, a popular beauty spot. Paulo, Angie and I parted there from Rob to return to Tokyo.
