Saturday 14th, ascent of the Petite Aiguille Verte (3512 m)
We took the VN (PD) from the Col des Grands Montets, and descended to the Refuge d'Argentière.

L'Aiguille du Chardonnet (3824 m) is towards the R of the L picture; on the L of the R picture is the Aiguille d'Argentière (3879 m), with the Glacier du Chardonnet between them; in the centre of the R picture is the Tour Noir (3837 m), with the Glacier des Améthystes on its L and the Glacier du Tour Noir on its R.
Sunday 15th, attempt to climb the Tour Noir
Since there was no snow in the normal ascent couloir from the Glacier des Améthystes to the Col supérieure du Tour Noir, we attempted to ascend by the normal descent route from the Glacier du Tour Noir. However, it was too much for me.
