Alpine holiday from Saturday 9th August to Thursday 28th, with Gabriel for the first week, then with Neil.

Belalp to Oberaletsch hut and back, Sunday 10th and Tuesday 12th
Bad weather prevented us from going higher than the hut.

Brunegghorn, Thursday 14th and Friday 15th
We made two attempts to reach this summit, but turned back due to not finding the route and to avalanche danger.

On Wednesday 20th we ascended the E ridge from the Quintino Sella hut, and descended the normal route on the S face

Ecrins
We attempted the Barre des Ecrins but stopped at the Dôme de Neige des Ecrins because of strong wind.

Les Droites (4000 m)
We walked up to the Refuge du Couvercle on Sunday 24th and climbed the peak on Monday 25th by the normal route up the S ridge.

On Wednesday 27th we climbed the NW face from the Chabod hut, and descended the normal route of the W flank to the Vittorio Emanuele hut.
